Does the library subscribe to any qualitative data analysis software?

Answer

The Harrisburg University Library does not provide subscriptions to qualitative data analysis software at this time.

Free/open-source options include:

  • Taguette - Simple web interface supporting basic code-and-retrieve. Supports sensitive data with a local or server install, or use their free server.
  • TAMS Analyzer - For Mac users only. Accepts PDF, TXT, JPG, and RTF files. It visibly tags text with the codes and allows for basic code and retrieve.
  • Excel or Google Sheets - Can perform basic code and retrieve using the filter and pivot table functions.

Subscription Options:

  • Atlas.ti Web - Not full-featured, more suitable for first-time users with uncomplicated needs.
  • Dedoose - Designed for mixed methods projects with fewer but more complex codes and allows ratings.
  • Delve - Designed for interview or focus group transcripts. Offers educational pricing.
