I graduated from Harrisburg University. Can I access library material?
Answer
The Harrisburg University Library cannot provide graduates with access to subscription-based library databases due to contractual restrictions. Google Scholar provides links to scholarly articles; however, access to the item may not be free. If you live in the United States, you may be able to obtain the article through interlibrary loan services offered by a public library near you.
While Harrisburg University graduates cannot use the library's subscription-based databases, you can do the following:
- Browse the A-Z Databases List for resources that provide free access to scholarly research. Look for a little orange open lock or change the All Database Types dropdown menu to Open Access.
- Sign up for a JSTOR account to access up to 100 free articles per month.
- Access scholarship produced by the Harrisburg University community through Digital Commons.
- Search WorldCat to see if a nearby library provides access to materials you're looking for.
